| SYNOPSIS: |
| The importance of communicating science to the public and young people is growing. Speakers will discuss why we need science communication, how science communication today compares with methods from the 20th century, who the audience is, what the actual benefits are, and how students and the public can be prepared for effective science communication. Use of the Internet as a communications tool will be explored for both students and the general public. Computers will be available to log onto cutting edge Web sites. |
